Single Award Science: Subject code: 4SS0

We have introduced this subject at SSLSD to give those students who major in the Commerce stream
a basic understanding in Science which is necessary for their life. This qualification covers the basic
concepts of all three Science subjects: Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

Assessment overview:

Paper 1 Biology 1 hour 10 minutes 60 marks 33.3 % of the IGCSE syllabus
Paper 2 Chemistry 1 hour 10 minutes 60 marks 33.3 % of the IGCSE syllabus
Paper 3 Physics 1 hour 10 minutes 60 marks 33.3 % of the IGCSE syllabus

Biology: subject code: 4BI1 IGCSE 9-1

This qualification aims at laying a solid basis for students wishing to progress to the Pearson Edexcel
AS and Advanced GCE level or equivalent qualifications, focusing on key biology theory while
developing their practical skills I the subject as well.
